A Dream Elopement at Tampa’s Historic Plant Park
Sara and Sam recently made a beautiful choice: they decided to elope! Instead of a big, stressful wedding, they chose a small, romantic elopement just for the two of them. They got in touch with Intimate Weddings of Tampa to help plan their perfect day.
They picked a truly special spot for their elopement in mid-June: Plant Park. This isn’t just any park; it’s Tampa’s oldest and largest public botanical garden, right along the Hillsborough River. Imagine saying “I do” surrounded by beautiful flowers and ancient trees!
A Park with a Past
Plant Park has been a part of Tampa’s history since 1891. It was built by a famous businessman named Henry Bradley Plant, who wanted a beautiful playground for the wealthy guests of his Tampa Bay Hotel. Over the years, this amazing place has hosted grand parties, picnics, and even welcomed hundreds of famous people. Today, it’s a stunning urban retreat—the perfect Tampa wedding venue for a couple who loves history and natural beauty.
On their special day, Sara and Sam walked hand-in-hand to their ceremony site, looking completely in love. Their ceremony was unique and personal, designed just for them. It included a beautiful Blessing of the Hands, a truly touching moment where they promised to always support one another.
A Magical Moment
With the sun shining through a few raindrops and the park blooming around them, Sara and Sam shared their heartfelt vows. They exchanged rings and were officially pronounced husband and wife by the wonderful Rev. Rick Lackore from Sensational Ceremonies. The whole event was a perfect example of a romantic elopement—simple, meaningful, and focused on their love for each other.
The finishing touches for their day were handled by some amazing professionals. The beautiful bouquet and boutonniere were created by Iza’s Flowers, adding a pop of color to the day. The memories were perfectly captured by Tammy from True Love Photography, who took a lovely photo of the happy couple during their ceremony.
Everyone loves a good love story, and Sara and Sam’s is one for the books! Their beautiful elopement shows that you don’t need a huge party to have a dream wedding. All you need is a little planning, a lot of love, and a perfect spot like Plant Park.
Best wishes to the new Mr. and Mrs. Sara and Sam Wright!
